MEMBERSHIP WITH THE DEPARTMENT
We are always looking for new members to join our department. We are a 100% volunteer fire department and offer 3 types of membership:

Full Active Firefighter
Our active firefighters are required to meet the Tennessee State minimum firefighter requirement of taking the 16 hour introduction to emergency services, 64 hour basic firefighting and 16 hour firefighter 1 live burn at the Tennessee Fire and Codes Academy. Along with those required training classes, each member is required to obtain 30 hours per calendar year of training, along with a yearly Emergency Vehicle operations class and keep their CPR active. Active firefighters are permitted to respond to any emergency incident and participate in interior firefighting operations.
Support / Medical Personnel
Our support / medical personnel are required to attend the 16 hour introduction to emergency services class as well as a yearly Emergency Vehicle operations class as well as their CPR certification. We also highly recommend our support personnel to be at least EMR certified so they are able to respond and participate in medical incidents our department responds to. These members are not issued fire gear or permitted to participate in interior or active firefighting operations but are able to drive and operate the fire apparatus. These personnel are also very instrumental in assisting and conducting our fire department fundraisers.
